Meeting of Business Women from Montenegro and Serbia
Directorate for Development of Small and Medium sized Enterprises in cooperation with the European Centre for Information and Innovation Montenegro (EIICM) is organized on 11th November 2011 in Podgorica meeting of Business Women from Montenegro and Serbia.
The delegation of entrepreneurs from Serbia was led from the representatives of the Institute Mihailo Pupin, Belgrade. All entrepreneurs have also been the members of the Association of Business Women of Serbia. Entrepreneurs from Montenegrin side were members of the Association of Business Women of Montenegro and Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro. The business meeting was attended by over fifty participants.»

SBA Bilateral meeting- Western Balkan and Turkey
Directorate for Development of SMEs in cooperation with the EU Delegation to Montenegro, the Ministry of Economy and representatives of the EU-funded project “Business Environment for Small and Rural Businesses” through answers to questions in 10 defined areas of the reporting form, provided the evaluation of the current situation in the sector of small and medium enterprises in Montenegro and thus finished with the realization of the activities related to filling in of the reporting form for Small Business Act. The Act provides the EU with a comprehensive policy framework for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to promote entrepreneurship and a policy to strengthen their competitiveness.
Bilateral meeting of Montenegrin institutions and representatives of the European Commission (DG Enterprise), OECD and the ETF was held 06.10.2011. , in the great hall of the Institute for Education (Vaka Djurovicbb) starting at 9:00 am.
The meeting was a presentation of our achievements in 10 areas the Small Business Act to assess the report on the realization of the principles of SBA»

Knowledge Transfer: Tools and Mechanisms for supporting Innovation
The WBC-INCO-NET project, a project funded by the FP7 International Cooperation programme, aims at enhancing integration of the Western Balkan countries (WBC) in the European Research Area. The project assists in developing the relationship between the EU and the WBCs in the area of science and technology (S&T) and supports the Steering Platform on Research for the Western Balkan countries.
As part of its Innovation support activities, the project organises a training workshop for RTD stakeholders in the field of Knowledge Transfer and Innovation Support. The seminar addresses innovation intermediaries, technology transfer officers, as well as members of the academic and business community from the Western Balkan countries. It will take place in Becici on Friday 23rd September 2011 and it is co-organised by the local Directorate for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (www.nasme.me) and the South East European Research Centre (SEERC: www.seerc.org) based in Thessaloniki, Greece. Both organisations are partners to the WBC-INCO-NET project. »

EEN - South East Europe Regional Meeting
Enterprise Europe Network - European Innovation and Information Centre Montenegro (EIICM) in the period from 19-20 September 2011, organize South East Europe Regional Meeting in hotel Maestral, Przno, Budva.
It will assemble EEN partners` representatives from Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia and Montenegro.
The meeting will focus on the overview the 3-years period performance, pointing out key elements, key findings and recommendation for improvements of future activities. It will use the occasion of all Consortia partners’ presence to discuss improvements in regional cooperation, possible common activities and projects. »

Promotion of CIP financial instruments
Directorate for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises organized on 11th April 2011 the promotion of the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme - CIP, and within it, the financial instruments.
Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme - CIP was established by the European Parliament and Council 2006. CIP combines several existing EU activities to support business and innovation. The program covers the period 2007- 2013.
Montenegro signed a bilateral agreement (MoU) in late 2008. with the European Commission for participation in the CIP-EIP program, which allows us to use its programs, for which we pay an annual participation of the General Budget of the European Union. »

Round table “Support for SME Development through Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme in Bečići
Directorate for Development of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises through Adriatic-Ionian Initiative is organizing a round table “Support for SME Development through Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme " 23 - 24 November 2010. in the Hotel Splendid in Bečići.
The aim of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative was the enhancement of cooperation and strengthening of security in the Adriatic-Ionian region, intensification of cooperation among the countries of the region, and encouraging transition states toward the integration processes and getting closer to the EU.
Roundtable topics will be:
- To strengthen further cooperation between signatory countries and small and
medium enterprises from Adriatic Ionian region
- To share information on the most important goals, trends and further activities

1st Innovation Dialogue Forum Conference was opened in Bečići
Zoran Vukčević, Director of the Directorate for Development of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, opened yesterday a two-day International Conference “1st Innovation Dialogue Forum” in Bečići which is organized within the project WBC.INCO.NET ENHANCED with Montenegrin partners - Directorate for SME Development and Ministry of Education and Science.
Mr. Vukčević said that the project is strategically important for supporting cooperation between the EU, countries associated to FP7 and the Western Balkan countries (WBC) in the field of Science and Technology and this is one more project that proves efforts Montenegro strives on its way to European Union. »

1st Innovation Dialogue Forum/IDF. Towards a regional innovation system

With regard to its new enhanced activities, the WBC-INCO.NET project organises the 1st Innovation Dialogue Forum focusing on the innovation status in the region, as described in its new WorkPackage "Innovation Support".
The main target of the extended projects activities is to foster coordination and cooperation between innovation stakeholders in the region, in order to develop common research and innovation strategies and to draw up corresponding joint actions.»

International conference
„Business cooperation possibilities between Montenegro and Russia“ 7. and 10. June 2010. Hotel Monte Casa – Petrovac
In order to continue the good business cooperation with Russian institutions, the Directorate for SME Development in cooperation with the Association of Businessmen Leningrad region organized an international conference “Business cooperation opportunities between Montenegro and Russia" which took place June, 7th, 2010.
The conference was opened by Miss Ivana Zecevic, Adviser for competitiveness and exports in the Directorate for SME Development and Ms. Elena Shoda, president of the Association of Businessmen Leningrad region. The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of agriculture, Montenegro Business Alliance, Federation of Employers, Chamber of Economy, Artisan-entrepreneurial chambers of Montenegro, Association of Hoteliers of Montenegro and representatives of the Montenegrin and Russian companies.»
